After a poor show in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi bypolls, the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Delhi unit president Adesh Gupta urged party workers to gear up for next year's Delhi Municipal Corporation Elections.
Gupta exhorted the party workers to fan out in every nook and corner of the city to apprise the people about Central government's welfare schemes and at the same time expose the failures of the Arvind Kejriwal government on all fronts. He was speaking at a party programme in Badarpur constituency.
As part of his 15-day long programme to strengthen the booth management at mandal level in view of the 2022 Delhi Municipal Corporation polls, he stressed on ensuring that all booth level executive committees should have 21 active members by April 6 this year. He also said all sections of the society should be given due representation in the booth’s executive committees.
He pointed out to an ease of living index released by the Union urban development ministry where Delhi has been ranked 13 and in the public transport system, it is at number 5 from the bottom.
"The situation could have been better if only the Kejriwal government had focused more on governance rather than self-projection and implemented the Central government’s schemes of welfare for Delhi," said Gupta.
