Delhi Police constable shot at by bike-borne men in Bhalswa Dairy area

A Delhi Police constable was injured after three unidentified people fired at him in Bhalswa Dairy area on Thursday.

The incident took place near a police check post at JJ Colony when Constable Sandeep stopped three persons on a motorcycle for checking.

However, the trio tried to flee from the spot even as Sandeep started chasing them. They then fired at the constable. The three men fled from the spot, leaving their bike behind.

Sandeep was rushed to Max Hospital at Shalimar Bagh and is undergoing treatment. Police said the bike was found to be stolen and searches were being carried out in nearby localities for the suspects.

An FIR under attempt to murder and other relevant sections has been registered. Police are in the process of obtaining CCTV footage from the area.
