A joint team of Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) and Mumbai Police Crime Branch has arrested a man in the city in connection with the Pakistan-sponsored terror module busted by Delhi Police.
The accused, Zakir, has been arrested from Mumbai's Jogeshwari area on Saturday morning.
Zakir had earlier asked terror accused Jan Mohammed Sheikh alias Sameer Kaliya who was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell to bring arms and explosives to Mumbai.
On Tuesday, Delhi Police busted the Pakistan-backed terror module with the arrest of six men, including two Pakistan-ISI trained terrorists.
The arrested accused, identified as Jan Mohammad Sheikh (47) alias 'Sameer', Osama (22), Moolchand (47), Zeeshan Qamar (28), Mohd Abu Bakar (23) and Mohd Amir Javed (31), were arrested following raids in Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh.
All the six arrested accused, including Osama and Qamar, were produced at a Delhi court and have been taken on 14 days' police remand for further interrogation.
Police had said interrogation revealed that the Pakistan terror module was being operated through two components, via the underworld and the Pakistan-ISI trained terror module.
Sources said questioning of the six accused who were arrested by Delhi Police's Special Cell has revealed that they were planning to carry out an attack on the lines of the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
The police had also recovered about 1.5 kg of RDX from the arrested terrorists.
The arrested terrorists have named some people who have been working as sleeper cells to aid the terror module.
