A 20-year-old girl who was out on a morning walk on Thursday along with her brothers and sister in Greater Noida was abducted by a group of miscreants in broad daylight.
The abductors forcefully put her in a car and fled the scene while her siblings struggled. Her family members later blocked the stretch of NH-91 where the incident took place on Thursday morning to protest against the police.
The Badalpur Police in Greater Noida later received information on the abduction around 4.30 am. According to the initial information, police said that the girl along with two of her brothers and a sister were out on a morning walk.
The girl’s family gathered at the spot later in the morning to demand police action, leading to traffic congestion in the area in Greater Noida.
The DCP Central Noida reached the spot on NH-91 along with other police officials and inspected the area. Five police teams have been formed to probe the incident.
Police have sounded an alert in the nearby districts and various checkpoints have been put up on the roads to look for any suspicious movement. Police have also said that an FIR will be lodged soon.
