Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan took to social media to reveal that he has resumed the shooting of Cobra in Moscow. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film stars Chiyaan Vikram in lead role.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has joined the Cobra team in Moscow, Russia for the foreign schedule. The cricketer took to Instagram to share a photo from Moscow where he can be seen in multiple layers of clothes braving the cold. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Cobra features Chiyaan Vikram, Sridnidhi Shetty and Miya Geroge in lead roles.

IRFAN PATHAN JOINS COBRA TEAM IN RUSSIA

Ajay Gnanamuthu's Cobra marks the acting debut of cricketer Irfan Pathan. In the film, he will be playing the role of an Interpol officer named Aslan Yilmaz. As reported earlier, he is the main antagonist pitted against Chiyaan Vikram in Cobra.

Taking to Instagram, Irfan Pathan shared a photo of himself from Moscow. We can see Pathan standing in a crowded place with snow-covered roads. All of the crew members are dressed in winter clothes to keep themselves warm. He captioned the post, "Somewhere in the beautiful #russia #shoot (sic)."

Srinidhi Shetty, who rose to fame with her performance in Yash's KGF: Chapter 1, plays Vikram's romantic interest in Cobra. She recently wrapped up the shoot. Announcing the same, she wrote, "All that begins well, ends well. For me, this was an amazing journey filled with immense learning and The entire team has been together through thick and thin. Can't wait for #Cobra to complete shoot and watch it on the big screen... Until then much love and stay safe (sic)."

A week before India went into lockdown to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, the entire team of Cobra including Vikram were in Russia shooting some important sequences. However, they were forced to return mid-way due to the travel ban imposed by the Indian government. The Cobra team is keen on completing the film in a couple of weeks.
