England skipper Joe Root on Thursday took 3 wickets in his first 3 overs without giving away a single run and former England captain Kevin Pietersen was overjoyed with the magical spell that the spinner had bowled.
“England have found Root,” Kevin Pietersen tweeted as the England skipper was on a roll after cleaning up the Indian middle-order.

Root brought himself on to bowl in the 42nd over with India struggling at 117/5 with a lead of just 5 runs. With his very first delivery he went on to dismiss the dangerous Rishabh Pant.
It was a beauty of a delivery that pitched and spun away from the left-hander as he tried to slog the ball. It took a delicate edge and ben Foakes took an easy catch as Pant had to depart for 1 run.
Root then dismissed Washington Sundar with another beauty in the next over. The India all-rounder was cleaned up and the delivery pitched on the middle stump and spun away to hit the off-stump as Sundar tried to play the line of the ball.
Root then dismissed Axar Patel for nought, as the all-rounder tried to be attacking and came outside the crease to slog one over, but could only hit it to short extra cover.
